The Morris Perspective Podcast
The Morris Perspective Podcast is a truth-centered platform dedicated to exposing the systems behind inequality. Through the lens of Unequal by Design, the podcast examines how deliberate lies embedded in history, science, and theology have shaped unequal outcomes—and why exposing the truth, not managing bias, is the only real solution.
Rather than focusing on individual attitudes or unconscious behaviors, The Morris Perspective confronts the design of inequality itself, distinguishing between God’s design, rooted in justice and shared humanity, and human systems, built on distortion, erasure, and power.
This podcast challenges what we were taught, uncovers what was hidden, and restores context where narratives were manipulated—because inequality isn’t accidental.
It’s designed.

Welcome to Bias Detox, the podcast series with the Morris Perspective Podcast, where we clean out the mental clutter that's holding us back. No sage burning required. I'm your host Connie Morris and today we're diving into a topic that's small in name but big in impact, microaggressions. Do you know those seemingly small comments or actions that on the surface might seem harmless but actually carry a lot of weight? Yep, those are microaggressions. Think of them like those tiny paper cuts. You might not notice them at first, but after a while, they really start to sting.
In today's episode, we're going to break down what microaggressions are, how to recognize them, and most importantly, how to avoid them in your everyday interactions. So let's get ready to clean up our communication habits and make sure we're not unintentionally giving anyone those dreaded paper cuts.
Simply put, microaggressions are subtle, often unintentional comments or actions that demean or marginalize someone because of their race, gender, sexual orientation, or other aspects of their identity. They might seem minor to the person doing them, but have a significant impact on the person receiving them. We'll go through common examples and scenarios to help you spot and avoid them.
Recognizing microaggressions requires paying attention to the impact of your words and actions, not just your intentions. If you notice that something you said makes someone uncomfortable, it's worth reflecting on why that might be or how you can avoid similar comments in the future. Let's work together to make our communication more mindful and inclusive.
Thank you for joining me, Connie Morris, as we work to make our communication a little kinder and our world a little brighter. Keep reflecting, keep learning, and let's keep those microaggressions in check. Until next time, stay mindful, stay empathetic, and stay committed.

Welcome to the Morris Perspective Podcast. I'm your host, Connie Morris. Today, we are kicking off our new series, "Beyond Prejudice," with the first episode focusing on understanding racial bias.
Racial bias refers to unfair treatment, judgment, or prejudice toward individuals or groups based on their race or ethnicity. It manifests in various forms, including stereotypes, discrimination, microaggressions, and systemic inequalities. This episode emphasizes that racial bias is a problem, affecting people from all racial backgrounds, and calls for self-reflection and education to identify and unlearn these biases.
We discuss how racial bias shows up in everyday life, from subtle assumptions to overt discrimination. These biases significantly impact individuals and communities, contributing to stress, lower self-esteem, and barriers to opportunities in education, employment, and housing.
As racial detectives, it is our responsibility to seek out instances of racial bias and advocate for change. This involves challenging discriminatory practices, speaking out against racist attitudes, and supporting initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion.
Throughout the episode, we share practical tools for recognizing and confronting our own biases. By reflecting on our own experiences and understanding the origins of our biases, we can work towards a more inclusive society.
Join us as we break the silence and take steps toward creating a more equitable society for all. Reflect on your biases, share your experiences, and let's learn together. Welcome to the Morris Perspective Bias Detox episode, "Breaking the Habit of Stereotyping." This is the series where we clear out the mental clutter that holds us back—no juice cleanse required. I'm your host, Connie Morris, and today we're tackling something we've all been guilty of at some point: stereotyping.
Stereotypes are like the fast food of our brains: convenient, but not exactly nutritious. Just as we detox our bodies from junk foods, it's time to detox our minds from unhealthy, over-processed stereotypes. In this episode, we break down how stereotypes form and, more importantly, how you can kick the habit and challenge them in your everyday life.
We'll explore the origins of stereotypes, handed down through cultural norms, media, family, and personal experiences. Our brains love shortcuts, but these shortcuts often oversimplify and misrepresent the world around us, leading to unfair judgments and assumptions. To break free from these mental shortcuts, we need to pause, reflect, and challenge our preconceived notions.
Discover practical steps to detox your mind: pause and reflect on your judgments, get curious about others, mix up your media consumption, check your social circle, and practice empathy. These techniques will help you see the world in a more nuanced way and make it harder for stereotypes to stick.
As we wrap up this bias detox episode, remember that breaking the habit of stereotyping takes time, effort, and persistence. If you enjoyed this episode and want more tips on keeping your mind clutter-free, subscribe to the Morris Perspective Podcast. Share this episode with a friend, because who couldn't use a little bias detox in their life?
Thank you for joining Connie Morris on this journey to break the habit of stereotyping. Keep questioning, keep learning, and remember: your mind is the most valuable real estate, so let's keep it clean. Until next time, stay curious and stay committed.

Unequal by Design: The Truth Behind the Lies We Were Taught to Believe
Unequal by Design, where we question the story, examine the system, and expose the design.
The foundation of Unequal by Design is Hosea 4:6:
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee… seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”
That scripture reminds us that lack of knowledge does not just affect one person. It can affect families, communities, systems, and generations.
On this podcast, we are not just having conversations. We are pulling back the curtain. We are looking at the patterns, policies, narratives, and labels that were built, protected, repeated, and called normal.
Some things were not accidental.
Some things were designed.
So, if you are ready to think more deeply, question more deeply, and see more clearly, you are in the right place.
New Schedule Beginning June 2026
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays
7:00 pm
Hosted by Connie Morris, retired officer, justice educator, author, and bias breaker, this podcast questions the story, examines the system, and exposes the design.

Unequal by Design unpacks race, bias, justice, criminal justice, language, culture, and the systems that shape what people believe, accept, and repeat.

🎙️ The Morris Perspective Podcast
Welcome to The Morris Perspective Podcast—where truth is uncovered, systems are examined, and the lies behind inequality are exposed. I’m your host, Connie Morris.
After more than 20 years as a police officer, I witnessed firsthand how outcomes were rarely accidental. Bias—both personal and systemic—showed up in predictable patterns, shaping lives, decisions, and communities long before individuals ever entered the system. Those experiences didn’t just open my eyes—they clarified my purpose.
Today, as the founder of Morris Bias Initiatives LLC, my work has evolved beyond managing bias to exposing the truth behind it. This podcast exists to challenge inherited narratives, disrupt comfort built on distortion, and examine how inequality is sustained by design, not by chance.
🔍 What The Morris Perspective Is About
At The Morris Perspective, we no longer ask people to simply reflect on bias.
We ask where it came from, who designed it, and why it still works.
Through the lens of Unequal by Design, this podcast examines how deliberate lies embedded in history, science, theology, and institutions have shaped unequal outcomes—and why truth, not behavior management, is the only real solution.
We distinguish clearly between:
-
God’s design, rooted in justice, truth, and shared humanity, and
-
Human systems, built on distortion, erasure, and power.
🧠 The MORRIS Framework
The values behind MORRIS now function as tools of exposure, not self-correction:
-
Mindfulness — recognizing when patterns are engineered, not incidental
-
Openness — allowing truth to challenge what we were taught to accept
-
Reflection — interrogating narratives, not just reactions
-
Respect — restoring humanity where systems stripped it away
-
Inclusivity — centering those historically pushed to the margins
-
Self-awareness — understanding our position within designed systems
🎯 What to Expect
Each episode goes beyond surface conversations. We confront:
-
How bias is taught and normalized
-
How systems reproduce inequality predictably
-
How truth disrupts what lies depend on
This podcast engages real evidence, real history, and real context—not trends or comfort language. Episodes are released intentionally, allowing space for depth, clarity, and accountability.
🔥 More Than a Podcast
This is not a motivational platform.
It is not a safe conversation.
It is a truth-centered examination of why inequality persists—and what happens when lies are finally exposed.
If inequality were part of God’s design, it would not require lies to sustain it.

I’m Connie Morris—and from The Morris Perspective, we’re no longer managing bias.
We’re exposing the design behind it.
